Art on the Prairie celebrated a special cultural event in Historic Downtown, Perry, Iowa, this weekend (November 11-12, 2023). I was there--but I didn't see you! So if you didn't make it, just tag along and I will share my fun day with you.

I have ridden my bicycle on the Raccoon River Trail from Waukee and through Perry dozens (maybe hundreds) of times. I usually turned around at Dawson, making my round trip back through Perry a 50 mile ride. I didn't ride my bike this year so this was a great time for a road trip to Art on the Prairie --in Perry. At Art on the Prairie, the art and entertainment is inside the buildings that line the business district. The attending street crowd is not overwhelming but conversation, concern and camaraderie with the artists/performers is. Nø surprises here--that's just small town Iowa.
