Look--The Iowa State Capitol is illuminated BLUE. Gov.Kim Reynolds issued a proclamation in support of the people of Israel. In so doing, she declared Oct. 22-29, "Blue Ribbon Week." Bottom above: Des Mayor, Frank Cownie (who also serves as Global Vice President of Mayors for Peace) requested Women of Achievement Bridge in Downtown Des Moines, be illuminated blue, week of Oct. 15-21, to demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Israel. (I didn't get downtown that week so just imagine my white in this photo is blue.) In conclusion, it appears our president, governor and most legislators are solidly behind Israel during these dark days. We will have to see how it all plays out.
